Mother's Day

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. This year Mother’s Day is May 9 and it’s coming soon.

The modern Mother’s Day began in the United States, at the initiative of Anna Jarvis in the early 20th century. It was first celebrated in 1907. In 1908, the U.S. Congress rejected a proposal to make Mother’s Day an official holiday. However, in 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother’s Day, held on the second Sunday in May, as a national holiday to honor mothers. Anna Jarvis wanted to honor this and to set aside a day to honor all mothers because she believed a mother is “the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world”.

Mother’s Day serves as the perfect reminder to say “love you” to the ladies who do so much for us. Mothers always care children a lot, care the whole family a lot, and they have to take care of the work as well. They care so much about others, who cares about them? Kaboon dose!
